This extraordinary Cask #1861 of Highland Park was distilled on March 23, 2006. It was bottled on October 13, 2025 at 19 years of age. 

In 2004, Highland Park decided that all future distillation would be matured in 100% first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, which would become a signature feature of the spirit. Only a tiny handful of exceptions were made, including this American ex-bourbon cask. 

The cask then made it way to the hands of Ian Macleod Distillers, and was matured in a mainland warehouse, extremely atypical for Highland Park. There it was forgotten for many years, until it was discovered, rescued, and made its way into the hands of Society Obscura, and ultimately to you.
